Westfield Ford Presents the City of Countryside’s 2012 Summer Concert Series, “Music through the Ages”
Grab a blanket, and head to the park for a fun filled evening of music. Hungry? Stop by our weekly food vendor for a bite to eat and a cold drink. Countryside Park, the City’s largest, offers an ideal setting for relaxing on a summer night, catching up with family, friends and neighbors and enjoying the free music.
All concerts are held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays (rain or shine) at Countryside Park located at 61st Street, 1/2 block east of Brainard Avenue.
Opening act starts at 6:30 p.m., headliner band starts at 7:00 p.m. Concerts end at 9:00 p.m.
This year’s lineup is sure to please concert goers of all ages.
“Music through the Ages” will have you time-traveling back to the future, as our musical journey begins with the Roaring 20’s and wraps up with the hits of today.Once again, we will feature a local Countryside vendor selling their unique style of food, be sure to bring your appetite!

Rhythm Rockets' performances reflect the diversity of Jazz, Jump, Swing and Rhythm & Blues, with songs influenced by the sax-driven bands of the 30’s and 40’s. Using the same instrumentation, the original arrangements and the vintage look, this band delivers a stylish, upbeat education in music history. The Rhythm Rockets deliver danceable, high-energy music in an authentic stage show that appeal to audiences of all ages. They are well-known throughout Chicagoland area and can often be seen at hot spots, such as the Willowbrook Ballroom, Green Dolphin Street and the House of Blues, and have performed at numerous venues from coast to coast.
From their infectious music to their unforgettable stage show, there’s just no telling how high the Rhythm Rockets will soar at tonight’s concert!
